Seeds of design

Caribean Craft, sold by Ecofashionshop.com, produces beautiful Tagua seed jewelry pieces that make fabulous accent pieces for the spring, brightening up any earth-tone outfits with a splash of Caribean sun.

EcoFASHIONshop.com, a group of entrepreneurs that promotes handmade and ecological fashion accessories, wants to not only help the environment but the artisans they support as well. Their pieces are trendy and not only friendly on the wallet, but made with sustainable materials. They strive to share the cultural stories of their artisans who infuse their art with hard work and passion.

Carbiean Craft’s pieces are made out of the Tagua seed which comes from the ivory palm tree. This tree, who’s height can reach 17 feet, produces its first fruit after 15 years. It grows exclusively in South American rainforests in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Brazil. The Tagua seed is also known as “natural ivory” or the “ivory nut” due to its resemblance in texture, hardness, opacity and color to the animal-derived ivory.
